Ms. Raquel DeLeo

The July recipient is Raquel DeLeo, who graduated from Bedford High School and, in addition to volunteering with the YMCA, she works with St Raphael's Food Pantry.

Raquel is also the creator of a podcast for young women called “You are stronger than you know”. The podcast is geared toward helping middle and high school students, particularly girls, gain confidence and self-esteem, publicize the media challenges girls face, and help them be comfortable with who they are.
