May is National Small Business Month

Additionally, more than half of Americans work for or own a small business nationwide, creating about 2 of 3 new jobs each year. According to the most recent data from the SBA:

99% of New Hampshire businesses are categorized as 'small business'
Small businesses employ more than 50% of New Hampshire's workforce
Professional, Scientific and Technical Services make up the most small businesses
Women represent 47% of the workers, and own 41% of the businesses

There are many ways to support small businesses this month, including shopping locals, leaving positive reviews, spreading the word, and attending community events.
